I didn't have time to suss out exactly what was going on other than to check that the plugin was 100% wet (it was) and that some other parameter wasn't at an extreme setting (none were). The sound of the drums changed drastically, as though a lot of phase cancellation was happening throughout the frequency spectrum. I'd set the mix knob to full wet and sent a drum track to the TPR which I had on an Aux channel. I love the sound of this plate! However I noticed something at the end of a session today that concerned me. I like that people like you are sharing your helps us too. We worked hard to get the sound quality happening, even in PT 10 with OS 10.8.5 because there are still plenty of HD rigs out there. I suppose in a few years, as processing power increases it’ll run like a dream. stunningWe’re currently working on it (as are lots of other folks). It’s def not an easy thing to accomplish. Tis plate is so great on vocals or playing the toontrack vintage kit through it with the V-drums. I could adjust the settings with 256 samples and then safe and reload with 128, but it would me much nicer if I could tweak without reloading.Ĭould you look into that or am I simply demanding too much from my rig with this plugin in with 128 samples ? BUT as soon as I change a setting on the plate the left channel makes a plop and then there is a ongoing static completely in the red on the left channel while the right channel works normal (different hosts, Live Professor and Bluecat Patchwork). It works flawless and without crackle with this low latency on a windows 7 PC with my RME Fireface UFX. For this I have to run it at 128 samples. This plate feels so nice that I want to track through it. I know what you mean with the sentiment (pretty bright, metallic but majorly 3D) I slapped AA Crimson after it I am thinking perhaps the sound of these that we have in our head has a lot to do also with the consoles where the returns came in. If I think of metal I sure as hell don't thing of warm and cozy. Either way the RS is maybe not as much as a polyvalent contender as the SR2016 but perhaps it really sounds like a pure raw Plate. Maybe I'm mixing you up with another post. I thought you had used the word brittle to describe the RS plate. Its so easy to dial in and gets you a sound you need often very fast that sounds like a million bucks. Going to keep messing with it.Hey Shaggy, I share your sentiment with SR2016. I do like it more than the Kush Gold (demoing that as well right now) but it's not hitting me as instantly as the Eventide SP 2016 but then again I wasn't getting the Eventide for the Plate per say, I was looking at more for room reverbs. I do dig it but I'm not sure it's up there on the hype level that many in here have stated. $149) at Transatlantic Plate Reverb - Rare Signals Supported Hosts: Pro Tools (10.3.5 or later), Live, Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, Logic, Digital Performer.Īvailable now at the introductory sale price of $99 (Reg.
